NAME : Sieve Shaker

Specification :
The Sieve Shaker is used to make the process of sieving easier and quicker. The sieve shaker effects a more elaborate and standardized sieving action to produce accurate results and eliminate personal errors involved in manual sieving. The sieve shaker equipment can carry upto 8 sieves. The shaker produces the gyratory as well as the tapping motion.

The analysis of soils by particle size through these standard test sieves provides a useful engineering classification system from which a considerable amount of empirical data can be obtained. Standard Test Sieves helps in ascertaining possible frost action, determining graded filters, selection of grouting materials, designing of cement and asphaltic concrete mixes, etc. Two different procedures are used for coarse and fine soils. Sieving is used for gravel as well as sand size particles and sedimentation. For soil containing coarse and fine soil particles, test sieves are useful to employ sieving procedures. NAME : Riffle Sample Divider

Specification :
Riffle sample divider is required for the rapid collection of true representative samples from aggregates, sand and fillers. Riffle Sample Divider consists of a metal box fitted with a series of chutes of equal width which discharge the material alternatively in opposite directions into separate pans. The chutes of the riffle are steep enough to allow rapid flow of the material. The sample divider is supplied with two containers and a sampling scoop.

NAME : Buoyancy Balance (Determination of Specific Gravity)

Specification :
The density of hardened concrete specimens such as cubes and cylinders can be quickly and accurately determined using a Specific Gravity / Buoyancy Balance. The apparatus consists of a rigid support frame, incorporating a water tank mounted on a platform. A mechanical lifting device is used to raise the water tank through the frame height immersing the specimen suspended below the balance in this Buoyancy Balance. Any type of Electronic Balance fitted with an under bench weighing facility can be fitted. The balance supplied can also be used as a standard weighing device, thus providing a versatile and comprehensive weighing system in the laboratory.

Specification :
Specific Gravity is the ratio of the weight in air of a given volume of a material at a standard temperature to the weight in air of an equal volume of distilled water at the same stated temperature. The Pycnometer Bottle can be used to test a wide range of materials from clay to sand and gravel smaller than 10mm. It consists of 1kg Glass Jar with Brass Cone, Locking Ring and Rubber Seal.
