Ductility Testing Machine Electrically Operated for determining the ductility of asphalt, cut bitumen and blown type bitumen. The Machine consists of a bath thermostatically controlled with inlet and outlet taps. It is equipped with an electric pump circulator and heater. Designed to test three specimens simultaneously. The machine consists of a carriage moving over a lead screw. Fixed and movable brackets are so positioned that specimen is submerged in water throughout. A clutch arrangement is made to stop the movement of the movable bracket when rapture of the specimen is noticed. An electric motor driven reduction gear unit ensures smooth constant speed and continuous operation. The rates of pull / travel, i.e, 50mm/min and 10 mm/min are provided. Ring & Ball test apparatus for determination of softening point of bituminous materials. Softening point is that temperature at witch the specimen under test becomes soft enough to allow a steel ball of specific dimensions to fall a required distance under test conditions. Standard Tar Viscometer used for determining the viscosity of cut back bitumen and road-oil. The viscometer consists of a chrome plated copper bath, with a drain valve and a central tube to receive the test cup and to position the stirrer, and is mounted on a stand with leveling feet. Stirrer has a curved shield and is provided with an insulated handle, thermometer socket and swivel support for the valve. Supplied complete with 10 mm cup and ball valve or 4mm cup and ball valve as per the requirement and Electrical Heater with immersion heating elements and Dimmerstat for controlling the temperature. Laboratory Mixer for mixing of Bitumen for making different types of test specimens in the laboratory. The apparatus comprises the following: (I) A motor driven mixer which simultaneously imparts two motions to the mixing paddle i.e. revolving and planetary. A two speed gearbox is incorporated in the drive which makes the paddle revolve at approximately 140 and 285rpm with corresponding planetary motion of 62 and 125rpm respectively. (II) A stainless steel mixing paddle of the specified shape and dimension witch can be attached or removed easily. (III) A stainless steel mixing bowl of about 6Ltr capacity fitted with Heating Jacket for Heating of Sample at the Bottom of bowl with the thermostat controller. The soundness of cements and limes is determined using the expansion test with le-chatelier moulds. The mould consists of a spring tensioned split cylinder 30mm internal dia x 30mm high with two internal stems which measure 165mm from the points to the centre line of the cylinder and O ring. Two or Three moulds are required for each test. Each Le-Chatelier mould is supplied with one glass plate of 50mm2 and one 100gm weight. Set of Six are incorporated in a Card Box.
